The last day to hand in the registration form for the SECOND YEAR of CONFIRMATION is WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 13, 2021. Please call ahead to the Religious Education office to let us know when you will be coming to hand in paperwork.

Registrations will be CLOSED after January 13, 2021 and we will no longer be mailing or accepting any more registration forms after that date.

Reminder for parents: The parish religious education program will begin registration for Confirmation classes (Second Year) on Monday, December 7th through Wednesday, January 13th. Registration forms can be found on our parish website, olglakewood.org/faith-formation/ccd-p-r-e-p, or if you prefer to have it be sent by mail, please call the faith formation office to request a mail-in registration form. Once filled out, forms will only be accepted at the faith formation office Monday-Friday


Our local council of the Knights of Columbus will be having their annual ‘Keep Christ in Christmas’ Cards and Magnets sale. Below is a flyer containing samples of the cards and magnets available. To place an order please print out the order form located at the bottom of this announcement, fill it out completely, follow the instructions on how to pay with check or cash, and deliver it in an enclosed envelope to the St. Mary of the Lake Rectory or drop it off at any of our Knights of Columbus


The religious education program has made changes to the class schedule. Due to the increase of positive cases of Covid-19 in Lakewood, as a preventive measure all classes will be held ONCE a week starting Tuesday, November 10th. Children will go to class on Tuesdays from 6 PM-7:30PM ONLY. To clarify, we have not had any case of Covid-19 within our religious education program, but that the number of cases have increased in the community of Lakewood.

The Torch of Our Lady of Guadalupe arrives at our parish on Saturday, November 7 before the 4pm Mass at Holy family. It will stay with us all week until next Saturday.

The 'Our Lady of Guadalupe' Religious Education program will NOT  have classes on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 2nd, 2020, as we will be celebrating ALL SOULS DAY.

Students and parents are encouraged to attend one of the masses for ALL SOULS DAY as a class day make-up.

Hi, my name is Jan Pastuszczak and I am 57 years old. I was born and educated in Poland. Was ordain priest 30 years ago and most of that time I work in the Caribbean, on Montserrat, Antigua and St. Kitts. Last 7 years I was a pastor for small catholic community in Virgin Gorda (British Virgin Islands). I have licentiate of Canon Law from the Catholic University of America but never work in the USA so this will be a new experience for me. I like music and used to play saxophone and organ. Can


Starting Saturday, October 3rd, 2020 Our Lady of Guadalupe parish will now be offering an English Saturday mass at 4PM in the church of Holy Family.

The Spanish Saturday mass will be moved to 5:30PM and will still be located at the church of Holy Family.

As you may know, we had to cancel our April 26th second annual “Friends of the Poor” Walk around Lake Carasaljo due to Covid-19.

We have now been able to reschedule the walk, with the approval of Lakewood Township, for Saturday, September 26th, 2020. The walk would start at 10AM and finish approx. 1PM.  We would meet in the lower parking lot of ‘Our lady of Guadalupe Parish’ (formerly St. Mary of The Lake).

Dear Friends, 

We are still in the time of Covid 19.  The Bishop just extended the Dispensation for the Obligation to attend Mass from September 7th to “until further notice”. Because no one knows what “normalcy” will look like or when that may be it is difficult to plan for the future There has always been the intention not to change anything in the Mass schedule for the community for the time being prior to the changes forced by the Corona Virus.

Starting the weekend of August 1, 2020, we will no longer be offering Parking lot Mass. All weekend masses will be indoors ONLY. Indoor space will continue to be limited.

Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., issued the following message July 30, 2020:
Given all current public health and safety reports, I am extending the dispensation from Sunday obligation to attend Mass beyond the aforementioned September 7 date listed in our Diocesan Directives “until further notice.”
The faithful are certainly encouraged, but not required, to attend Sunday Mass in their parishes whenever possible or to participate in outdoor or live-streamed

Our Lady of Guadalupe parish will add an additional mass in spanish on Saturday nights. Starting Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 5PM in the church of Holy Family.

It will only be indoor mass, there will be NO parking lot mass on Saturdays.

Space is limited. The use of face masks is mandatory and communion will be received in the hand only.

Due to the ongoing situation concerning COVID-19 in the state of New Jersey, following the guidelines set by Bishop David O’Connell and the State of New Jersey, we will begin conducting a procedural reopening of the offices and masses with these new guidelines in place until further notice. All visitors and attendees are required to follow these guidelines when inside houses of worship and its offices. The guidelines are as follows:
