Our local conference of the St. Vincent de Paul Society has been our outreach to those who are in need and suffering. Our parish supports the conference with our resources, fund-raising, and volunteers. Inspired by Gospel values, this lay organization leads all to join to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering. It is first and foremost a spirituality movement which makes that spirituality manifest in its advocacy and direct service to the poor of our area.
Saint Vincent de Paul Food Pantry is opened on:
Saturday 9AM until 1PM for food distribution.
We are located in the trailers in the lower parking lot of Saint Mary of the Lake Church.
Volunteers are Needed!
How can you help?
The vocation of our Society members, called Vincentians, is to follow Christ, through service, to those in need. * Our Conference is actively recruiting individuals who whish to join us on the rewarding journey towards Spirituality, Friendship and Service with our neighbors in need.
We need help with:
- Receiving and stocking food donations on Mondays and Fridays: 8am-10am and Thursdays: 8:30am-10am
- Conducting home visits to those in need
- Grant Writer
- Treasurer- Bookeeper for our Finance Team
- Help organize social and fundraiser events
- Food Pantry to give out food to our neighbors on Saturdays: 8:30am-1pm
- Answer calls to our Hotline- you can do those from home. If your are interested in helping us, you can text Nancy, our volunteer coordinator at 732-275-7199. Or please leave your information on our hotline 732-534-9375. One of our volunteers will call you and give you the specific information regarding the position you are interested in. Anyone who would like more information can also visit us at the Food Pantry during the hours of 9AM to 1PM on Saturdays or call our Hot Line 732-534-9375.
We appreciate all the generous support for our neighbors in need each month. At present, our pantry still faces unprecedented needs. If you have food donations, you can drop them off in the bin at church when you go to Mass or at the Pantry during our hours of operation. Please do not leave donations outside the pantry building.
We are currently looking for the following items:
Cleaning products, toilet paper, soap, coffee, boxed milk, shampoo, diapers
All donations will be gratefully accepted. Monetary donations are also appreciated and can be dropped off at the Food Pantry or the Rectory.
